Sheikh Kabir Ahmed is a Freedom Fighter, Born in 1950.
Graduated from Gurudayal College under Dhaka University in Science (BSC) in 1970.
Studied Law (LLB), from Mymensingh Law College from 1973 to 1975.
Left for United Kingdom for Higher studies in 1975. Studied Business studies from College Swindon, Wilts and Certified Accountancy from South West London College and completed his Certified Accountancy (CA) from England.
He studied and worked there for 15 years before forming the First Export Oriented Software Industry in Bangladesh in 1989 with the venture capital from Bangladesh Shilpa Bank and came back to Bangladesh in 1990.
Mr. Ahmed is one of the founders of IBCS-PRIMAX Software (Bangladesh) Ltd, a pioneer and most successful Computer Software Company in Bangladesh.
He was the Managing Director of the Company till 2014 and now a Director, Mr. Ahmed has immense contribution in building IBCS-PRIMAX as one of the largest and well reputed IT Company in Bangladesh since 1989. For the last 26 years he has worked hard to promote Information Technology in Bangladesh.
He is one of the promoters of Digital Bangladesh announced by the Honb. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
In 2014, Mr. Ahmed formed “OraTech Consulting Ltd” an IT Management and Consultancy House dedicated to develop top quality ICT Based Management and Consultancy, International quality Software and services and Specialized advanced Cyber Security Solution for Bangladesh market.
He is the Vice Chairman of “Terratech Ltd”, a Company formed comprising of 10 largest IT company in Bangladesh for working in large Software project in Bangladesh and abroad.
He is also the Partner of an E-Commerce venture called “Onnokichhu.com”.

Mr. Ahmed is one of the founder of Bangladesh Association of Software and IT Services (BASIS), the only IT Association for Software and Services in Bangladesh and was the elected Director for two terms.
He was the Chairman of the Standing Committee of BASIS to promote Local Market development of IT, and was also the Chairman of the Standing Committee to “Access to Finance”.
Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS)
He was one of the founder members of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), an Association for Computer Hardware and Services. He was the Advisor of the Association and the Chairman of the Standing Committee for “Legal Affairs, Policy and Intellectual Property Regulation (IPR).
